Wadebridge – N Gauge
Wadebridge is an N gauge layout that is part of the Cornish Lines project which was originally constructed in the 1990’s.
The layout depicts the Southern region Withered Arm outpost as it was in the mid 1950’s.
Wadebridge is currently in the throes of a full rebuild to bring the layout up to 21st century modelling standards. It also being reconstructed as close to scale as possible, instead of the representation that it used to be.
All of the buildings have/are being scratch built using a range of different techniques from photographs and measurements from the many site visits to the town over the years.
The track is Peco code 55, but all of the points have been hand built using copper clad sleepers.
The layout is currently analogue controlled, but we are looking to switch over to full DCC operation shortly.
We aim to have the layout exhbitable in early 2024 as we have a number of invites to shows next year.
