Milford Park – N Gauge

Milford Park station is situated on a single line branch line with a passing loop for non stop traffic and access to the Milford Brewery sidings opposite the station. Milford Brewery built in the mid 1930s on the site of a worked out chalk quarry, the brewery having taken full advantage of the existing rail access for its rail born traffic. As well as shunting at the brewery sidings, passenger and freight workings can be seen.

The layout is operated via DCC control and some rolling stock was given to the society by a Salisbury resident. A programme of refurbishment and upgrading has been undertaken this includes new track, station building and platform, bridges, roads and landscaping. A lighting gantry has also been added.

This layout is only 3ft 6″ x 2ft 6″ and shows what can be achieved using a Peco track plan. The layout is equipped for DCC operation and all points are motorised. There are also working lights. All track is laid using Peco code 80 rail and the points are also standard set track turnouts.

This layout will make its exhibition debut at our Wilton Railex in September 2025
