Redacre – 00 Gauge

Redacre.

Redacre is a fictitious mid-1960’s BR southern branch line which also served as a diversion route between Basingstoke and Southampton.

It has 2 platforms in an unconventional island platform setting, dead end siding on the up side. With a loop and yard that has a good shed and coal merchant on the down side.

We can set up in several ways our preferred for ease of operations is a “roundy roundy” style where the dimensions would be 14ft x 8ft with the scenic section being 10ft x 2ft. Also but less preferred we could set up in an “end to end” style needing at least 20ft in straight line length.

The layout is owned by Gavin Brown and Steven Duncalfe and we are both part of the Salisbury & South Wilts Railway Society.
